Richard A. Guthrie, MD, FAAP, FACE, Medical Director
Dr. Guthrie is Medical Director of Mid-America Diabetes Associates. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri Medical School (1960). He is board certified in pediatric endocrinology and metabolism. Dr. Guthrie is widely published and nationally recognized in the field of diabetes and has served as principal investigator for numerous research studies. Dr. Guthrie serves as the Director of the Robert L. Jackson Diabetes Research Institute. He is a Department of Pediatrics Clinical Professor at the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita. He is a member of the Sedgwick County Medical Society, the Kansas Medical Society, the American Diabetes Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Society, and a fellow in the American College of Endocrinology. He has served on the national boards of both the American Diabetes Association and the American Association of Diabetes Educators. He is known world wide for his work in the field of diabetes.
