Professional Education Services

Health Care Professionals

Several times a year the Diabetes Education Update program is offered to health professionals  who are specializing in diabetes care and education.  A 4 day didactic program is offered with an optional 3 day practicum.  A faculty of over 20 experts provide content on diabetes from every perspective.  Many professionals utilize this program as a review before taking certification exams.  The practicum offers an opportunity to observe the patient education programs, shadow and endocrinologist, Doctor, or nurse practitioner in the clinic setting, make rounds at the hospitals, shadow an in-patient educator, or pump/sensor trainer.  These continuing education hours meet the requirements for re-certification for the CDE credential.  If you are interested in participating in this program contact
